Multiple OS
How many server Operating Systems will you be able to select from?
Every single notebook or desktop or server is run by an Operating System - the low-level program that interacts with the hardware equipment, including peripheral devices such as a mouse or a printer, along with any apps that are currently installed on the system. Any program input through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the OS. On a web server, every single app runs within the parameters set by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, etcetera. This is valid for both standard site scripts and server-side software such as a media server. If a virtual server is set up on a physical one, there can be two separate Operating Systems, referred to as guest OS and host OS, so you will be able to set up a different software environment on the very same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
If you pick one of our
VPS server solutions, you'll have three different Operating Systems to choose from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They are all Linux releases and we offer them rather than offering just a single OS, since the applications that you may want to run on the server could have specific requirements about the software environment. Each one of the three has certain pros in terms of the available packages that you may afterwards install, but what is common between them is the fact that they're really secure and reliable and have large communities which support them. The internet hosting Control Panel choices for the VPS accounts depend on your Operating System choice, in order to provide you with more flexibility. When you order the virtual server with one OS and you need another one later, our technical support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in a couple of minutes. We also offer you the option to maintain the Operating System on your server up-to-date on a weekly basis.

We also offer three internet hosting Control Panels and which one you can use depends on the Operating System that you choose when you register.
